NewsNorway considers ban on gasoline powered cars
Posted by Jarsto on Wednesday, 30 May 2007
Norwegian legislators are considering banning the sale of gasoline powered cars possibly starting as early as 2015. The proposal wouldn’t necessarily be the end of the line for oil companies as hybrid vehicles could still be sold after it came into effect.
Aside from hybrid vehicles other options like biodiesel, bioethanol, or hydrogen will be possible under the new law. It is hoped that this legislation will prompt more research into these alternative fuels.
