NewsArctic Flora Moved With Climate Changes

Norwegian and French scientist have found that, as temperatures in the Arctic region have changed over the past 20,000 years, plants have moved with them. Their findings offer some hope that ecosystems may proof more robust than expected as greenhouse gases accumulate.
Some scientists believe this feature may be unique to the Arctic, possibly an evolutionary result of the Arctic’s frequent climate swings. The strength of the winds in the region may also play a part by helping to spread plant species further than they would be elsewhere.
