Freshly GreenFreshly Green #2: Photovoltaics
Welcome to more Freshly Green!
Your hosts, Greg Peterson and Amy Godfrey, are here to bring you a fun approach to living green! Sit back and listen, and learn about what “living green” means to them, plus some easy tips for conserving that everyone can follow, because living green doesn’t mean living without.
In this show, Amy and Greg talk about photovoltaics and implementations of solar panels. It may be more affordable than you think to add solar power to your life, and maybe some of the info from Greg and Amy may help you find out how.
They also chat a little about compact fluorescent light bulbs, and some of the different types you can find, and the benefits of switching from incandescent bulbs.

I liked #2 PV. The net-metering is also very good. We now have it from SRP who started it in 2004 and APS just started giving it in July 2007. Now I want us to keep our REC Renewable Energy Credits. I’ve been asking the Corporation Commission to fix that mistake.
The payback is also not nuclear waste since 20% of the power in AZ comes from Palo Verde. We also don’t make mercury pollution like the 50% of energy from coal. Solar also doesn’t use water like both nuclear and coal. We all save with better safer power.
