Air pollution doesn’t just impact the environment. A team, led by scholars from the Imperial College London, has found that even low levels of air pollution are enough of a health risk to increase the chance of an early death.
In fact though pollution levels have largely fallen in recent years the pollution may be growing more toxic. This suggests either a change in the composition of the pollution, or a greater susceptibility to its effects now than in the past.
