NewsBush Vows To Veto Bill Promoting Renewable Energy

President George W. Bush has said that he will veto a bill passed by the US House Of Representatives. The bill would require that most utility companies produce at least 15% of the power they generate from renewable sources.
According to the White House the fact that the bill does nothing to stimulate more production of oil and gas in the US means it will not sufficiently reduce the amount of oil the USA imports. The bill was further attacked for “singling out” the oil industry.
