Freshly GreenFreshly Green #8: What is Permaculture?
Welcome to more Freshly Green!
Your hosts, Greg Peterson and Amy Godfrey, are here to bring you a fun approach to living green! Sit back and listen, and learn about what “living green” means to them, plus some easy tips for conserving that everyone can follow, because living green doesn’t mean living without.
In this episode, guest Don Titmus returns to talk about permaculture, the art and science of working with nature and the application of sustainability.
Don also tells us of his gardens, and the interconnectivity designed into the systems he’s developed, for example, with his vegetable gardens and his chickens.
Chip has taken the permaculture design class that Don teaches, and recommends it for anyone interested in learning more about permaculture and how to build and design something for their own use.
Greg and Amy also expand permaculture out into living and working spaces, and the hopes of looking into ways for more people to work from home or close to home, in order to lessen the impact of so many people doing so much commuting.
